Remedial Astrology: There are simple ways to worship a deity according to the problem areas. First identify the problem.

There are two areas of problems; One problem is the actual problem facing a person.

For example : Health – including pimples, acne, menses, cold, cough,indigestion, anemia,Cancer, Paralysis, etc., which are the results of either the deficiency or the excess of the humors in the body, Vata, Pitta and Phlegm. In addition to these, function of nerves, blood circulation,mind ( Psycho-somatic), wear and tear of body due to the advancement of age etc,. Finance – including losses and improvement, sudden stroke of luck and money etc., Job getting and Job promotions,difficulties in holding on the job etc., Marriage – delay in marriage, breakdown of marriage, children etc,. For all such problems, find out the position of the planets. Find out if any Doshas such as Kalasarpa Dosha exists. Find out the Yogas, Dashas, inherent in the horoscope . Then assess the problem. Before advising the remedy, the Dosha if any existing must be removed. Any remedy will not be effective, unless the Dosha is removed. For removal of Kalasarpadosha, The person must be advised to visit Kalahasti and the Dosha removed by Archana and Pooja there. This becomes the first step. The platform is ready for remedy by way of worship. The next step would be to find out, which of the planets are in bad position and giving the problems. Find out the houses and planets connected to the problems.If the planet and the house is identified, then it becomes easier to find out the deity representing that planet. For house correction, the house Lord must be identified. The signification Lord must be identified. The other identifications include, ownership, occupation and aspects of the planets; Both on the houses and the planets.

Selecting a deity : It is very important to select the most suitable deity applicable to the specific problem based on the above considerations mentioned in the earlier paragraph. Even in deities,there are various considerations. Lord Shiva is worshiped in His many forms such as Rudra, Nataraja, Tandavamurthy, Jatadhari,Shiva-Parvathi, Meenakshi-Sundaresha,etc. Lord Vishnu is worshiped in His many forms such as Gopalakrishna, Kodanda Rama, Narasimha, Sita-Rama, Lakshmi-Narasimha, etc. Even in worshiping the deity of

Narasimha, there are many differences. Lord Narasimha is identified in His different forms such as Lakshmi-Narasimha, Yoga-Narasimha,Bhoga-Narasimha, Chintamni-Narasimha etc. For an effective and easy remedy, it is advised to worship the deity with companion; such as Shiva-Parvathi,Lakshmi-Narasimha and Sita-Rama.

The deities with their wives beside are easy to please and the worshiper is twice blessed by both the deities. But for worshiping of the planet Ketu,the deity of Rudra alone is suggested. For worshiping of Rahu,the deity of Durga Mata alone is suggested. Like wise, the identification of the suitable deity becomes more important, for an effective and immediate remedy. It is said that God is everywhere and in everyone. But the remedies are not.

उपायकारक ज्योतिष: समस्या क्षेत्रों के अनुसार देवता की पूजा करने के सरल तरीके होते हैं। पहले समस्या की पहचान करें।

समस्याओं के दो क्षेत्र होते हैं; एक समस्या वास्तविक समस्या होती है जिसका व्यक्ति से सामना कर रहा है।

Somvar Vrat Katha

Here is a list of the deities to be worshiped in respect of the planets afflicted.

Sun – Lord Shiva or Vishnu ( Sunday)

Moon – Lord Shiva on a Monday evening.

Mars – Lord Murugan, Lord Hanuman or Lord Lakshmi Narasimha on a Tuesday.

Mercury – Lord Srirama/Lord Ganesh on a Wednesday .

Jupiter – Lord Vishnu on a Thursday.

Venus – Goddess Lakshmi or Parvathi (Friday)

Saturn – Lord Shiva on a Saturday evening or Lord Anjaneya on Saturday morning or evening.

Rahu – Goddess Durga on a Friday evening.

Ketu – Lord Shiva or Ganesha on a Thursday.

Selecting a temple : For worshiping a deity, one must select a very old temple. There are two types of temples. First one type is the temples which exist from ancient times and still getting the daily Poojas and Archanas etc,. The Second type of temples are that those constructed recently, for the purpose of convenience, or commercial purposes, and getting the daily Poojas and Archanas regularly and sometimes with all the pomp and show. Avoid the Second types. Any temple to be constructed, there are procedures with systems and methods. The Vastu, the installation, The energizing or Prana Pratishtapana of the deity strictly according to Veda and Puran, are very important.Then only the deity gets the power to bless the devotees. In the olden days the temples were being constructed, as per the Vastu, or according to the Sthalapurana,  mostly in remote areas or on mountains. There are reasons behind the selection of the place of construction of a temple. The place, the installation procedure, the energizing procedure all these play an important role in the worshiping of a deity.

यहां विगत ग्रहों के संकीर्णित होने पर पूजा के लिए देवताओं की सूची है।

सूर्य – भगवान शिव या विष्णु (रविवार)

चंद्रमा – सोमवार की शाम को भगवान शिव।

मंगल – मंगलवार को भगवान मुरुगन, भगवान हनुमान या भगवान लक्ष्मी-नरसिंह।

बुध – बुधवार को भगवान श्रीराम / भगवान गणेश।

गुरु – गुरुवार को भगवान विष्णु।

शुक्र – शुक्रवार को देवी लक्ष्मी या पार्वती।

शनि – शनिवार की शाम को भगवान शिव या शनिवार की सुबह या शाम को भगवान अंजनेय या सोमवार की शाम को।

राहु – शुक्रवार की शाम को देवी दुर्गा।

केतु – गुरुवार को भगवान शिव या गणेश।

मंदिर का चयन: देवता की पूजा करने के लिए, किसी प्राचीन मंदिर का चयन करना आवश्यक है। दो प्रकार के मंदिर होते हैं। पहला प्रकार वे मंदिर होते हैं जो प्राचीन समय से मौजूद हैं और अब भी दैनिक पूजाएँ और अर्चनाएँ प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। दूसरा प्रकार के मंदिर होते हैं जो हाल ही में बनाए गए होते हैं, सुविधा के उद्देश्य से या वाणिज्यिक उद्देश्यों के लिए, और दैनिक पूजाएँ और अर्चनाएँ नियमित रूप से प्राप्त करते हैं और कभी-कभी सभी शोभा और दिखावट के साथ। दूसरे प्रकार के मंदिरों से बचें। किसी भी मंदिर की निर्माण के लिए प्रक्रियाएँ, प्रणाली और तरीके होते हैं। वास्तु, स्थापना, देवता की प्राणप्रतिष्ठापना या प्राण, वेद और पुराण के अनुसार यहां महत्वपूर्ण होते हैं। तब ही देवता को भक्तों को आशीर्वाद देने की शक्ति मिलती है। प्राचीन काल में मंदिर वास्तु या स्थलपुराण के अनुसार बनाए जाते थे, ज्यादातर दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों या पहाड़ों पर। मंदिर की निर्माण स्थल के चयन के पीछे कारण होते हैं। स्थान, स्थापना प्रक्रिया, प्राण प्रतिष्ठापना प्रक्रिया, ये सभी एक देवता की पूजा में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।

Ekadashi Vrat Katha

Secondly while selecting of a temple and the deity, usually the deity selected may give multiple benefits ,because of the naturally associated other deities. For example, if you are worshipping Goddess Lakshmi, then if one selects Sita Mata as the deity representing Venus, then while worshipping the deity of Lakshmi,The other deities, Lord Vishnu as the deity of Rama, representing planet Mercury , Lord Hanuman, representing planet Mars,or Saturn also bestow their blessings to the worshipper. This is different from the temple where a cluster of deities are installed for mere commercial purposes.

The next step would be to be cautious about the Aacharya in the temple in performing Pooja. There is a tendency that the Aacharya put fear in the minds of the devotees, and try to extract money. One need not be afraid of the Aacharya, who are mostly not well versed in method and pronouncement or chanting of Mantras. But one need not worry. Only one can ask them to adhere to minimum of procedure. The Sankalpa, Archana,Pooja by special but simple ways are to be told to Aacharya well before. Now I will give examples of worshiping some of the deities ,through a simple and methodical means of worship.

An example of worshipping the deity Lakshmi or Parvathi :If there is a problem of Acne or Pimples recurring on the face, leading to deformation of cheeks, then it must be Shukraditya Yoga according to Phaladeepika. The remedies to the problems relating to marriage, the problems relating to removal of Daridrya(Poorness), are all likewise obtained through the worship of Goddess Lakshmi or Parvathi with their companion deity besides. Like wise each problem is related to planets and the presiding deity, one way or the other.Here in the problem area of Sukradithya Yoga, the planets to be appeased are Sun and Venus. For Sun, the deity is Shiva and for Venus the deity is Parvathi.

Srilalitha, Tripurasundari,Meenakshi ,call Her by any name. “What is in a name”, who said this ? But there is everything in name and deity. One cannot substitute a different deity of same god , for a particular Pooja. One must take little strain and should not resort to convenience of the worshiper. For example Parvathi is also recognized as Shakti Devi , such as Chandi, Durga, Chamunda, Kali etc. Those deities are to be worshiped for a different purposes. For our present purposes, the planet Venus is to pleased. The beautiful, the pleasant, the all powerful, not only possessing all the wealth but also finds pleasure in the exhibition and decoration , with all the pomp and glory , all these are the nature and qualities of the Goddess Parvathi or Lakshmi. In the incarnation of such amorous,benevolent, gracious, gorgeous and yet with all these, generous in granting boons, the qualities of the deity represent the planet Venus. Worship her. Because She is easy to please. Worship Her,starting the Pooja on a Shukla-Paksha First Friday, then continue for five Fridays. A simple Pooja and Archana is enough. But only specificity is to decor Her with Lotus flowers. This part of the offering Lotus flowers is very important in the whole of the Pooja worship procedure. While worshiping either Lakshmi or Parvathi, one is not worshiping the female deity alone. Goddess Lakshmi is found along with Lord Narasimha or Lord Srirama or Lord Ganesha etc., Goddess Parvathi, is found along with Lord Shiva or Lord Sundaresha, with his many names and incarnations. While worshiping a deity of female god, you worship Her Husband The Great Lord also. Likewise, the planet Rahu is worshiped though Goddess Durga or Amba .The all in all, the all powerful deity of Durga is the primordial deity of Shakthi in Her most ferocious form killing the demons and destroying the Aasuri-shakthi. She re-installs the Dharma in this Earth, reposing the confidence of the Satvic devotees. She is liberation.

She is Mukthi. She is worshiped during evening or night. Likewise Lord Shiva is worshiped during night for propitiation of the planet Saturn. Thus the timings, the offerings to be made to a particular deity, the procedure etc, are all different for different planets and their deities. The following are the procedures in the worship of a deity.

Sankalpam : Making a vow before the deity that the person is undertaking a Pooja pronouncing his Gotra & Pravara and praying for blessings of the Lord for Pooja without any obstacles, by the grace of Lord Vighneshwara

Archana : Offering of flowers or kunkumam pronouncing the different names of the deity 100 times for Shatanamarchana or 1000 times, if it is Sahasranamarchana.

Flowers : Specific flowers are to be offered. Mostly the lotus flowers as in the case of Goddess Lakshmi or Parvathi. Pushpamala of Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, Dasavala etc., Like wise Bilvapatra and Tulsi are also offered to Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu respectively.

Naivedyam: The suitable prasadam to be prepared and offered.

For example :- Curd and chopped rice, wheat flour and jaggery laddus,for Mercury or Kodanda Rama. Kadubu or Obbattu,  are also offered to all the Vishnu Devatas, including Anjaneya. For Vighneshwara and Lord Shiva , different Prasadams are offered. The Aacharyaof the deity is to be consulted for offering of Prasadam who is well-versed in this following the local customs.

Starting of Pooja : The Moon is the Karaka for giving strength to all the planets. When the moon is waxing, She is more powerful, and provides the necessary strength and grace to the planet and also to the Pooja of the worshiper. So any Pooja or for that matter any good work must be started on, the first Monday, First Wednesday or First Friday etc., depending upon the deity to be worshiped, immediately after the New Moon or Amavasya. It is called Shukla-Paksha.

अगला कदम मंदिर में आचार्य को चुनते समय सतर्क रहना है क्योंकि मंदिर में पूजा करते समय आचार्य मन में भय डाल सकते हैं और पैसे निकालने का प्रयास कर सकते हैं। व्यक्ति को आचार्य से डरने की आवश्यकता नहीं है, वे अधिकांशत: मंत्रों की उच्चारण या प्रवचन की उत्तम जानकारी वाले नहीं होते। लेकिन आपको चिंता करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। केवल उनसे यह कह सकते हैं कि वे न्यूनतम प्रक्रिया का पालन करें। संकल्प, आर्चना, विशेष और सरल तरीकों से पूजा करने के लिए आचार्य को पहले से बताना चाहिए।

अब मैं कुछ उदाहरण दूंगा जो कि कुछ देवताओं की पूजा का एक सरल और विधिमान तरीके से किया जा सकता है।

लक्ष्मी या पार्वती की पूजा का उदाहरण: यदि चेहरे पर मुहांसे या कील मासिक रूप से आते हैं और गालों के विकृति का कारण बन जाते हैं, तो फलदीपिका के अनुसार यह शुक्रदित्य योग हो सकता है। विवाह से संबंधित समस्याएँ, दरिद्रता की समस्याएँ से संबंधित समस्याएँ, सभी ऐसे ही देवी लक्ष्मी या पार्वती की पूजा से प्राप्त होती हैं उनकी साथी देवी के साथ। उसी तरह, हर समस्या किसी न किसी ग्रह और उनकी देवता से संबंधित है, एक न केवल तरीके से। यहां शुक्रदित्य योग के समस्या क्षेत्र में, प्रसन्न किए जाने वाले ग्रह सूर्य और शुक्र हैं। सूर्य के लिए, देवता शिव है और शुक्र के लिए देवता पार्वती है।

श्रीललिता, त्रिपुरसुंदरी, मीनाक्षी, आप उन्हें जिस नाम से भी बुलाएं, “नाम में क्या है”, यह किसने कहा? लेकिन नाम और देवता में सब कुछ होता है। आप एक विशिष्ट पूजा के लिए एक ही भगवान की अलग देवता को नहीं बदल सकते। थोड़ी सी मेहनत करनी चाहिए और पूजाकर्ता की सुविधा का सहारा नहीं लेना चाहिए। उदाहरण के लिए पार्वती को भी शक्ति देवी के रूप में माना जाता है, जैसे कि चंडी, दुर्गा, चामुंडा, काली आदि। वे देवताएँ अलग उद्देश्यों के लिए पूजा की जाती हैं। हमारे वर्तमान उद्देश्यों के लिए, वीनस की पूजा की जानी चाहिए। सुंदर, सुहावनी, सर्वशक्तिशाली, न केवल सभी धन का मालिक होने के साथ ही, बल्कि सभी विशेष भूषण और गौरव के साथ आभूषण करने और सजाने में भी आनंद लेते हैं, ये सब देवी पार्वती या लक्ष्मी की प्रकृति और गुण हैं। ऐसे आकर्षक, सौम्य, कृपालु, प्राचीन, आकर्षक और फिर भी इन सब के साथ, वरदान देने में उदार, देवी की गुण और विशेषताएँ ग्रह शुक्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं। उन्हें पूजें क्योंकि वे आसानी से प्रसन्न होती हैं। उन्हें पूजें, शुक्ल पक्ष के पहले शुक्रवार को पूजा शुरू करें, फिर पांच शुक्रवार तक जारी रखें। एक सरल पूजा और आर्चना काफी होती है। लेकिन केवल विशिष्टता यह है कि उन्हें कमल के फूलों से सजाना चाहिए। कुल में पूजा पूरी पूजा विधि में लोटस के फूलों की यह भाग बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। लक्ष्मी या पार्वती की पूजा करते समय, आप केवल महिला देवता की पूजा नहीं कर रहे हैं। देवी लक्ष्मी भगवान नरसिंह या भगवान श्रीराम या भगवान गणेश आदि के साथ पाई जाती हैं, देवी पार्वती भगवान शिव या भगवान सुंदरेश जैसे उनके साथी के साथ। किसी भी महिला देवता की पूजा करते समय, आप उनके पति महान भगवान को भी पूजते हैं। उसी तरह, राहू की पूजा देवी दुर्गा या अंबा के माध्यम से की जाती है। सब कुछ, सर्वशक्तिशाली देवी दुर्गा, देवी की सर्वोत्तम रूप में है जो राक्षसों को मारने और आसुरी शक्ति को नष्ट करने के लिए होती है। वह इस धरती में धर्म को पुनः स्थापित करती है, सात्विक भक्तों की आत्मविश्वास को पुनः स्थापित करती है। वह मुक्ति है। उसे शाम या रात्रि में पूजा की जाती है। उसी तरह, भगवान शिव की पूजा शनि ग्रह को प्रसन्न करने के लिए रात्रि में की जाती है। इस प्रकार, विभिन्न ग्रहों और उनकी देवताओं के लिए समय, अर्पण करने वाली वस्तुएँ, प्रक्रिया आदि अलग-अलग होते हैं। पूजा की प्रक्रिया के बारे में निम्नलिखित हैं:

संकल्प: देवता के सामने एक व्रत बनाना कि व्यक्ति भगवान की पूजा कर रहा है और उनके आशीर्वाद की प्राप्ति के लिए उनके गोत्र और प्रवर का उच्चारण करता है, और विघ्नेश्वर की कृपा से किसी भी बाधा के बिना पूजा की जा सकती है।

आर्चना: फूल या कुंकुम का आहुति देना और विभिन्न नामों की 100 बार उच्चारण करना शतनामार्चना के लिए या 1000 बार, यदि वह सहस्रनामार्चना की हो।

फूल: विशिष्ट फूलों की आहुति देनी चाहिए। अधिकांशत: देवी लक्ष्मी या पार्वती के मामूल फूल जैसे कि कमल के फूल दिए जाते हैं। मोगरे, शेवंती, दसवाला आदि की पुष्पमाला भी देवी लक्ष्मी या पार्वती के लिए उपहार के रूप में दिए जाते हैं। बिल्वपत्र और तुलसी का भी भगवान शिव या भगवान विष्णु के लिए उपहार दिया जाता है।

नैवेद्यम: उपयुक्त प्रसाद तैयार करके प्रस्तुत करना चाहिए।

उदाहरण के लिए: – श्रीराम के लिए दही और कटे चावल, मकरंदी बादामी, वेटफ्लौर और गुड़ के लड्डू। अभिनव विष्णुदेवताओं, इनमें हनुमान भगवान के लिए कड़ुबु या ओब्बट्टू भी दिए जाते हैं। विघ्नेश्वर और भगवान शिव के लिए भिन्न प्रसाद दिए जाते हैं। देवता के आचार्य को प्रसाद के अद्भुत अनुसार देने के लिए परामर्श किया जाना चाहिए जो स्थानीय रीतियों का पालन करते हैं।

पूजा की शुरुआत: चंद्रमा सभी ग्रहों को शक्ति देने का करक है। जब चंद्रमा बढ़ रहा है, तो वह अधिक शक्तिशाली होता है, और ग्रह और पूजाकर्ता को आवश्यक शक्ति और कृपा प्रदान करता है। इसलिए कोई भी पूजा या उच्च विचार किसी भी अच्छे काम की शुरुआत को नए चंद्रमा या अमावस्या के तुरंत बाद शुक्ल पक्ष के पहले सोमवार, पहले बुधवार या पहले शुक्रवार को करनी चाहिए।

Guruvaar( Brihaspativaar Vrat Katha )
